San Diego: Day Three

Yesterday and today we saw six places, all much better than the first day and four he liked.  These were all shared houses or apartments.  He picked one and is waiting to hear back from her:  her ad said she had a preference for a woman, so that's probably what she's thinking about.  Hopefully she won't wait too long - I don't want the other places to get away!

All of these are furnished, all he may need is a TV.

We've eaten out at several vegan places,very tasty, especially a "linguine alfredo" based on zucchini noodles and a rich German chocolate cake - yummmm!!

Sounds like things are going well, I'm so glad. I hope he gets the place he wants. Have there been any signs of a job yet? It would be wonderful to be able to leave him behind with everything sorted.
I have never tried vegan food, I must look up some recipes and have a go at one. xx

Vegan is actually pretty good!

No sign of a job yet, we've been too busy looking for rooms. But his prospects have to be better here than in our tiny little New York town.

I see from another comment that you have settled on some accommodation, that's excellent because you can leave there knowing EXACTLY where he is.........now for a job! xx fingers crossed xx

I think we did.

I'll be back in March to visit and hopefully get a day or two to come up and see you and toni. It would be sometime during my spring break - March 24-28. I'll keep you posted!

He settled on a place today. Its in a very nice house of an older woman who has two other people living there. I hope she turns out to be as friendly and accommodating as she seems...this is very nerve wracking!
