Off to San Diego....

....on Friday.  My son is moving out there, and I'm helping him get set up and look for work.  So far we have 3 possible places for him to live, and no job prospects, so it will be a busy week!!  Looking forward to escaping the cold.

I was stationed there and then later went to grad school thee,

He's looking mainly in Chula Vista, because that's where the gym he likes best is, and also in downtown San Diego.

Thanks! It is a good thing - he's wanted to live in the SW since we visited the area on a family vacation three years ago. And his job prospects are far better there than in a tiny upstate NY town.

Have a safe and enjoyable trip! Oh to be young enough to up stakes and go somewhere new to see what comes of it. I hope you get him sorted out with something without too much stress and hassle. Has he chosen this part of the world for any particular reason? What kind of work is he interested in doing?
At least he is in the US when my son got wanderlust he decided on China!....ahhhhh! I don't think I slept properly for 3 months!

China!?!? That puts things in perspective! I haven't been sleeping well lately....

He likes the SW US and San Diego has many gyms for training in mixed martial arts. He wants to be a MMA fighter. So he is interested in getting whatever kind of job will keep a roof over his head while he trains.

That's so exciting! The weather was pretty good farther up the west coast the other day when I was there, so hopefully it stays good for you guys while you move him up there!
