Back from San Diego

momsalive1Got back very early yesterday morning after delays in Philadelphia, but otherwise had a smooth travel day. I kept my sandals on until the last possible minute.
Dan is in a beautiful home near a bus stop and close to his MMA training center. There are three other men living there, plus the owner She seemed eager to mother Dan a bit and, to my surprise he seemed happy to accept it. She offered to take me around to her dentist and doctor to see if I approved of them for Dan!
I am excited for him, and proud. Still, it was very hard to say goodbye. Tom is going out next month and they will go to a UFC event in Las Vegas. I'll go out over my spring break in March. I hope to see both lanyn and mrsbean when I am there next.

Date: 2014-01-19 11:05 pm (UTC)I smiled when I read about you keeping your sandals on till the last minute, I am exactly the same, I have lost count of the times I've left Italy in the sunshine and landed in London in the pouring rain and ended up running from the plane in flip flops......and usually a mini skirt too! xx
He'll be fine and Spring break will be upon you before you know it ;-) xx

Date: 2014-01-21 03:23 am (UTC)Sorry about the abbreviations. MMA is mixed martial arts. Its a style of fighting that incorporates wrestling, boxing and all the various styles developed worldwide. They fight inside a ring that has a net all around it so its sometimes called "cage fighting".
There are several different organizations, called promotions but they seem to me like leagues, that put on the fights for different weight classes. There are womens and mens divisions. The biggest promotion is the UFC. Here's a recent womans fight...
