I've been watching way too many crime dramas. Between CSI, Law and Order and Without a Trace, I can put away three or four hours a night easy.

Why don't they ever turn on the lights in CSI? They have a lab 10x fancier than I have ever seen, yet they neglected to install lights?

I'm developing a taste for of Law & Order: Criminal Intent, because he is so intense and a big guy - 6'4" - and the other night I saw an episode where he asked someone he was interviewing to dance and, well, it is hard to explain these things, but I know you understand. And yes, he was The Bug in Men in Black, which I am trying not the think about - a fine performance but not my romantic type.

CSI is a big thing for us at the moment too.. we have a new channel here, '5 US'; its evening programming seems to consist mainly of CSI, CSI:NY, and CSI:Miami so if there's nothing else on (roughly translated, if we haven't downloaded the latest US episode of '24', 'Lost' or 'Prison Break' that day) we tend to tune in to watch one - or lots - of those.

Baby's doing well.. really big, apparently (4.5lb at 28 weeks and I just found out that they normally expect them to be around 3.5lb at 31 weeks.. EEK!) though we had a couple of scary moments in the last couple of weeks eevrything is apparently fine. And baby's head down already, which is fine by me.

24 is one of those shows you really need to follow from episode 1 of season 1, and if you do THAT it's seriously compelling. And very plot driven. I've never known anyone be able to watch just one episode at a time when they have the DVD's!

I stopped watching CSI: NY early on because they made NYC look gray and boring, and hellllooooo! So not true. And you should see a little film no one knows about called The Fires Within. Vincent D...io plays a very nice guy caught up in the politics of Miami's Cuban community. Iirc, it's directed by Gillian Armstrong of My Brilliant Career fame.
